Why I Built HeartTraxIQ
In early 2026, my life changed dramatically when I was hospitalized with advanced heart failure. I spent months in the hospital waiting for the gift of a donor heart, supported by an Impella heart pump while my family and I lived through the uncertainty that every transplant patient knows too well.
On June 30, 2026, I received the greatest gift imaginable - a new heart.
Throughout recovery, I quickly realized there wasn't a single place designed specifically for heart transplant patients to manage everything that suddenly becomes part of daily life - medications, blood pressure, weight, temperature, blood sugar, lab appointments, biopsies, clinic visits, and milestones. It was all scattered across notebooks, apps, and paperwork.
As a software engineering leader, I knew there had to be a better way - so I started building the platform I wished I had from day one.
